Bail ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains how the Bail - Dance Community application ("the App") collects, uses, and shares your information. Please read it carefully to understand our practices.

1. Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide Directly

• Account Information: When you register using "Sign in with Apple," we receive a unique identifier for your account. If you choose to share it, we may also receive your name. We do not receive your Apple email address by default.
• User Content: This includes all data you generate and share through the App, such as:
  • Profile information (e.g., a nickname you might set in the future).
  • Posts you create, including text descriptions, uploaded videos, and photos.
  • Messages you send to other users (text, photos, voice recordings). Please note: Messages are designed for temporary interaction and are not persistently stored on our servers. They exist locally on your device during the chat session.
  • Your interactions, such as "likes," sending "Honor" (virtual flowers), and user blocks/reports.

B. Information Collected Automatically

• Usage Data: We may collect anonymous information about how you use the App, such as which features you access, to help us improve the service. This data is aggregated and cannot identify you personally.
• Device Information: Basic information about your device (type, operating system version) may be collected for compatibility and performance purposes.

C. Information Requiring Your Permission

The App requests the following device permissions only when you initiate a related action:

• Camera & Photo Library: To take or select videos and photos for your posts or messages.
• Microphone: To record voice messages or audio for videos.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To Provide and Operate the App: To create and maintain your account, display your profile and posts, facilitate messaging between users, show you the community feed and tutorials, and process your interactions (likes, honors).
• To Process In-App Purchases: Transactions for Coins and course unlocks are handled by Apple. We only receive confirmation of the purchase to grant you the corresponding virtual items or access. We do not receive your payment card details.
• For Safety and Moderation: To enable user reporting and blocking functions, helping to maintain a safe and respectful community environment.
• To Improve Our Services: To analyze aggregated, anonymous usage data to fix bugs, understand feature popularity, and guide future development.

3. Data Storage and Sharing

• Your Public Content: The videos, photos, and text you post to the community Feed are stored to be displayed to other App users.
• Your Private Messages: As noted, chat messages are transient and primarily exist on users' devices during an active session. They are not archived on our servers.
• Local Data: Certain preferences, blocked user lists, and purchase unlock statuses are stored locally on your device.
• No Sale of Data: We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
• Limited Sharing: We may share information: (i) if required by law; (ii) with service providers who help us operate the App under strict confidentiality agreements; (iii) to protect the rights and safety of ourselves, our users, or the public.

4. Your Rights and Choices

• Access and Deletion: You can view the content you have posted within the App. You can delete your posts. You can delete your entire account and its associated data via the "Delete Account" function in Settings. This action is permanent.
• Control Over Content: You decide what to post and share. You can block other users to prevent further interaction.
• Manage Permissions: You can manage the App's access to your camera, photos, and microphone in your device's Settings at any time.
• Restore Purchases: You can restore your Non-Consumable IAPs (permanent course unlocks) via the function provided in the App's settings.

5. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with information, please contact us.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information only as long as necessary to provide you with the App's services and as described in this Policy.

• Account Data: Retained until you delete your account.
• Public Posts: Retained until you delete them or your account.
• Local Data: Persists on your device until you delete the App or use the in-app functions to clear data/log out.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Policy in the App and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Policy.
